About Filmmaker Patty L Collins
As a Cherokee-Choctaw-Irish woman I am deeply moved by the beautiful and pitiful in each of us. As a filmmaker I am inspired, maybe even driven to make films that reveal the sacredness of everyday life.
 In many ways Sinew captures the essence of what I hold most dear in life: that we are the continuation of our ancestors, and in spite of our historical and personal trauma, the fragile seeds of our dreams continue to take root, healing our families and restoring our relationship to all living things.
Patty L Collins' new film! Ancestors We Hear You: Spiritual and Cultural Healing of the Modern American Indian will start filming in 2010.
